Saturday I decided to try the evening bite from 3-6 out from Gimli, fished in 12 fow. First 2 minutes BAM nice 18 inch ( good eater ), 10 min later BAM 16inch. Got slow but after all said and done we finished with 7 keepers between 2 of us, smallest was 15 inch and biggest was 24 inch.
Sunday, we got up at 6:30 am, Gimli has a law that you the earliest you can start your sleds is 7 am. So we got ready before than so at exactly 7 the sleds started up. Got out on the ice in 2 minutes and lines in the water by 7:35am. Set up in the exact same spot the day before. From 7:40-9:15 we caught 4, 1 was to small so I let it go. Not bad for 2.
Moved to 22 fow at 9:50am. First 10 min BAM, rod bent over and I pull up a nice 25 Nich girl!!! Took about a good hour until we caught another walleye but it was to small so bye bye.
Moved back to the same spot for a late afternoon bite in 12 fow. I caught 2 mid size walleyes in about 45 min. Just as we were about to pack er up. My dad yells "holy sh*t this is a big one, could be one of those masters" and sure enough I pull out my first master angler ever!!! Recorded at 29 inch ( didn't weight it )
So between 2 I'd say we didn't do it back, if anyone would like to share how they did this weekend comment down below id love to see how everyone did.
