If you don't want to quit go to Chautauqua, 18" of good ice and the perch are slamming anything you throw at them Mayville, Pendergast, Long-Point, Midway, Dewittville Bay or Mission Meadows.

Keep on hauling

I was only trying to be "cute".
Sorry.

Still - drilling thru 3 foot of ice has gotta be a PITA
Especially without a gas auger.

The fat lady was singing pretty loud last Sat 3/21 on Lake Erie off Sunset Beach, NY near the Catt.  The local fire departments, coast guard and water recuse team from Dewittville N.Y. assisted with the removal of some 20 ice fishing groups mainly by showing them the fastest way around the hugh shove and open water that formed from 40 MPH winds before the entire area broke-up.  Everyone got off safe.

The fat lady was singing loud and I thought I was done, but she has quieted down now and low temps coming.
Thursday Night
Partly cloudy. Lows 9°f to 14°f.
and
Friday Night
Partly cloudy. Lows 6°f to 11°f
that should harden the ice back up nice.
ITS STILL ON!!

The weather people were saying it was going to be warm today. LOL If you call 37* warm I guess so. It has melted off the ice on the trees from last night.

Back to cold again the rest of the week. The pumps are turned on to refill our lake so ice fishing is over. Not warm enough to melt the ice but the ice is not to be trusted.

Man, I wish. Kinda. I'm torn!! I love ice fishing but I also love getting my boat out!

I can't even pull my boat out of where she spends the winter as there is 2 feet of snow in front of it!

I have packed it up in Central MN.
Some lakes have pulled out from shore. Some are still locked up and people are walking/using ATV's.

See you on the ice!

Up in the Colorado mountains it is also getting iffy.  Still a foot+ of ice, but slush on top and soft edges are signaling an end to the season.  I'm going to make one last try Saturday, but taking along a life jacket, picks, and a throw rope.

I think you need an Arctic Armor "Green Bay"...er "John Deere" suit?   ;D  Glad you are still giving it a go.  Cameron Pass should still have ice if you want lakers, grayling, or smallish bows.  I have moved on to open water fly fishing now.  Look forward to seeing you out there next year guy.

Looking good.  My suit is getting dirty yellow in the knees after these last few years.

HA!!!!!  Yup!

My son now has the suit as I can't icefish anymore.
It looks like he pulled the motor out of his truck AND did a few dozen oil changes in it.
The suit is so dirty and greasy.
Pathetic!
I give him garbage about it all the time.

Your yellow and green suit is no different then my ice armor suit or the Cabella's you can buy, all you need is a good washing machine at the end of the season to wash it.

The Smoker is back in action going to try smoked blue gill and crappie jerky today!!!

Got some melting going on up here now.  :'(
Still tons of ice and yesterday I took 11,000#'s of lumber up the ice road to my property on the lake where I'm building my cabin.
Got another 10,000#'s still to take up there in the next week or so.

With all that work do you ever get anytime for fishing?

Not this year.  :-\
I have only been out ice fishing twice this season.
Eventually it will be worth all the effort when I'm chillin' at the lake.   ;D
