She's not singing here in Maine. We are still in the 20's all week, hoping for at least 3 more weeks of solid fishing before the lake turns to slush and water. Hoping to end the season strong!

She' gonna be singing for quite a while in upstate NY. Another month easy!

We have some warm temps and rain for the next few days and then below freezing temps again with lows in the single digits again Thursday night. I doubt it will destroy the 9+" of ice up this way.

Congrats and best of luck to you with the long season.

She sang 3 bars the first week of last month and that ended it.

Happy March 1st.     ;)2

Still plenty of ice in Maine, looking at ice fishing this whole month. Hopefully the lake conditions stay clean and slush does not build up.

I can hear her doing her scales behind the curtain.   :'(

While we have freezing rain and ice coming tonight, temps by next week are forecasted in the mid 40s and low 50s.  Even with lows at the 30-32 degree mark, I think we are going to be done by the second week of March.

warmer temps here in nh but single digits at night should make for great fishing and preserve the ice. but honestly i love those last trips where u don't have to worry about the shack and all need is a light jacket or sweat shirt.

That's funny.
We still have some guys with their fingers in their ears but for myself, I've moved on in my dreams. Next stop, pre-spawn crappie.
We're born, we live for a while, and then we die.  Sounds like a good reason to go ice fishing.

She's singing South Central IL.  Got on the ice today at 8 am.  18degrees and 6 inches of snow.  At 1130 the melt was on, 35 degrees and the pond had 2 inches of slush on the ice and most of the snow was gone.

here in northern VT id say we will be good until at least April unless there is a sudden turn, 20+ inches ice and below zero at night.

22" of ice here 12-15" black and the rest white ice.  The temps where I am will be a little colder than what is showing in the picture.  Those temps are for Boston, I am 45miles west.  We average 5° or so colder. 😀  Fishing in a sweatshirt is great, then refreeze at night.

It is MY responsibility to make sure my children can enjoy fishing years from now. Make sure your kids can fish.  If you see something ILLEGAL Contact the Massachusetts Environmental Police Radio Room at 1-800-632-8075 at any hour of the day. They might show up if there is enough staff working.

I'm going out tomorrow for the first time in a while.  I'm hoping that it warms up soon, I just sent my deposit in for a Quebec fishing trip, starting May 15th.
Mark it 8 dude
