sharpening blades
« on: Mar 01, 2015, 08:33 AM »
I have an 8" Strikemaster auger with a chipper blade. I tried sharpening the blade myself with no success. Is there anyone that sharpens these blades professionally?

Did you make sure to only sharpen the top side of the blade?

It takes a lot of doing, and some practice. The biggest thing is that the corners (each end of the cutting edge) need to be perfect.
May the fish be with you.
