Keeler Bay Action?

What is the panfish action in Keeler Bay looking like. Anyone been hammering them out there lately?

We haven't been out there for a couple of weeks, but from what I've heard it has been quite slow out there.  I tried the reef north of the island one day and didn't get a single bite in an hour.  We moved on.  The panfish should start hitting in the shallows pretty soon, though, I would think.

Anyone know if the panfish have moved in there yet? Looking for some panfish action and this is one of the spots where we might try. Thanks.

Was there today after pike.  I managed a few hog perch on tip ups but they are real finicky on the jigs.  Iced over a dozen  pike/pickerel but nothing over 4 lbs.  There was a big crew of people/trucks over towards the creek on the SW corner.

So really, are you guys are that naive that you would rely on info from a place that buys fish?  I don't give accurate/timely info to anyone I sell fish to.

Went out a week ago and caught plenty of fillet worthy yellows. They were full of smelt and mostly males. Stopped fishing when I hit 75. fished around that island in the deeper water using tungsten jig and polli plastic (darker color). Family ate very well that night, took like 2 hours to prepare all those fish.
No pike there though, only tiny, tiny pickerel.

Fished Keelers yesterday.  Did ok, caught a bunch of bass and pickerel.  Only four pike, biggest being 10lbs.  All went back down the hole.  My girlfriend was entertained with the camera, but the few perch/seeds that showed up seemed to be in a real negative mood.  She did manage to convince a couple to bite.  She got one pickerel in the hole that had wrapped around the camera cord.  After a few minute struggle between her and the cord, it finally bit thru the line, and took off with my demon in his lip.  Fortunately I have multiple of that particular color.  It was pretty comical to watch it all play out.

Thanks again to the guys that gave me their leftover bait, it got me thru the afternoon with the bass and pickerel taking all of mine.  They had auger issues, which put a damper on their day.  I would have been happy to punch them some more if it kept them out there.

Pike addict.  Thanks for tossing the 10 pounder back.  I hope you catch him again next year and hopefully again in 5 years.  I have always found Kellers to be really hit or miss for pike.  I wanted to make it there this week however, it doesn't look like its in the cards.

Really hoping the ice at Keeler holds up so  I can get out one last time this weekend! The warm temps forecast for the next two days won't help  :-\

Me too! I'm hoping to make a run up through the islands this weekend for panfish. Hope there is still safe ice after a day with near 60 degree weather with rain.

I went up there for a couple hours this morning.  The ice was in good shape.  I hope it lasts!  Nobody was there.  Bite was ok but not amazing.   I caught dinner for two in a couple hours.  There are still some good fish in there :)
