Perch?

Caught a lot of shallow perch today. Anyone else? Getting close to spawn.

I wish I was catching perch, I was stuck catching a mess of crappie. It's hard to leave a spot  when the fish are stacked up 10' deep in 24' fow. Three weekends in a row that school has been in the same spot. Branch county.

not fishing shallow, so a no for me.
been getting them deep tho every once and a while. jumbos with eggs! 24 fow on the bottom and fussy. sure are a nice fighter on a 19" noodle rod. flattens them right out and takes line.
mostly gills for me.

No perch Saturday but a 2 man limit of giant gills and crappies. Good day on the ice with my dad. This is his first full season ice fishing my family bought him a marcum flasher for his 50th birthday. We fish every Saturday it's such a blast. Memories that will last a lifetime.

I have not started perch fishing yet, been out 2 times. last ice is when I really go after perch on the bay. got a few spots a foot fisherman can walk to.

the perch are in the pre-spawn right now and lots of huge jumbo females and a few of the little males if u can find em

Been catching perch on a fly all winter..they love it. I was out there couple days ago and even the gills preferred the fly that day to the spikes I usually get them on.
