Man I just about wrote the season off early due to our warm weather. After this cold snap we should have some good ice for a few weeks yet!  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

Write it off?! I was driving my truck on 18" to 20" off ice in your neighborhood this past weekend!

I just hadn't been out looking for a while and I kept hearing about Angy and Orman starting to open so I just figured I'd get my boat ready. I'm happy to see that there is plenty of good ice yet.  :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

Was holding out till now. Putting me short rods up and putting new line on my long rods today. Y'all keep it as safe on the open water as y'all did on the ice!

Back atcha gillhunter. I strung up 2 new reels Sunday. Beefed up my bluegill arsenal with  a pair of those Pflueger Arbor reels. A guy in my bass club recommended them for less line twist. I think this year I'll make more of an effort to visit MyFishFinder.com during open water. :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

Ice is going quick, folks. Be safe I doubt there will be very much safe ice by the weekend except for up North.

Odd but we have good ice in Iowa still. Guys down by ames were still fishing this morning and the IGLs had atvs all over yesterday.
