Cedar river near Charles city

Has anyone ever fished the cedar above nashua around Charles city/ floyd?

No but have really been tempted.  My brother lives on the river above the dam in Nashua upstream from the big lake.  He has a bend in the river and some backwater/tailwater on the corner.  It is a 4-14' slow drop to the main channel.

That seems like a good spot. River ice fishing seems unpredictable. I kno guys have been out and caught some but few and far between
