hi everyone whats up with the weather? i like spring and summer but not when i want to get on the ice.got a weird question. trying to find a river near sheridan that has suckers. need to stalk up on some cut bait. i read they dont get active till water temps reach 50.any help would be awesome. found a great place on the tounge river that produces big channel cats.

Big Goose Creek through Sheridan, the Tongue River near Kleenburn Ponds or at the BLM Welch Property.  You will have to catch them with hook and line as trapping or seining is not allowed in those waters.

Make sure to practice catch and release on those big channel cats. They are a long lived, slow growing species. We want to see a healthy fishery in the future.
So many fish, so little time.

I have caught them in sand creek by  the state line. I also use cut carp we good luck, This year I going to try some jumbo smelt and think they will work well.
