Anyone braving the cold this coming weekend?

I think I'm going to head out Sunday. Saturday will be -10 and an East wind. Sunday is a high of 4 and a little more wind but I think it will be the better day. Too cold to take the kiddies so I'll probably be solo. Shanty,stove and some cold ones. And hopefully some fish.

I love to ice fish and we have a short season so that being said, I'll be out somewhere cursing the snow as I drag my gear threw it and so the cold is the least of my worries... fish on!

The rising pressure on Sunday is tempting but -9 up here at 9am w/15mph winds forecast tells me there will be better days. Family obligations give me an excuse to stay warm this weekend.  Good luck to anyone that gives it a try this weekend.

Ain't that the truth. I wish there were still a few more months of ice fishing. As much as we hate the drag, it's always worth it no matter conditions or our success rate. It's another day on the ice.

The rising pressure has me wanting to go. But the wind...Whew.  Hanging out in the Shanty. 3 day weekend and the worst weather we have had by far this winter. I have to decide the better day. I can't go a whole weekend without ice fishing. I even made it out SB weekend with hosting an all day party Sun. I have an awesome wife

I'll get an early start and get off the ice early.
Fish the 1st half of the day. Then, get dinner and a pedicure with the woman for Valentine's day. Fish all day Sunday without catching any flack for it. (If you really want to impress the woman. Take a massage chair next to her and ask for the hot stone and oil with your pedicure. Thank me later.  )
Valentine's day is more of a hurdle for me than the weather.

I'll be out! My wife is a seasoned outdoorsman widow from OCT 1 till the ice is gone I'm hunting or fishing on the weekend. If there's a wedding or a funeral I may stay home. The cold is a good thing maybe it'll freeze some of the slush and water.

Saturday looking to be not as harsh ...got a local completion on Sunday ...still looking kinda brutal ...time to zip in the thermal liner in my Striker Ice Climate bibs ...first time this season for that

Make sure they are way up, the water will wick up them if they are down in the slush we have now.

Yea life gets busy... married, 6 kids and travel for business... leaves little time for much else. I kinda left all the forums a couple years back because of all the bickering. But they seem to have got better. So I'm back... Good to talk again with you as well.

I had them on last sat & sun. One lake was sloppy the other wasn't but they kept me above the slop for sure .

I'm more worried about the deep snow than the cold, but I'll still try getting out there. If it's going to kill me that's the way I want to go. ICE FISHING. AMEN
