might want to resize the pic before you post, 600x800 is a good size.

Does anyone use Snapfish for photo hosting? I uploaded some pictures and tried to post here with no success. I copied the link and used the insert picture icon. A tiny picture icon comes up, but not my picture. Not the red X either. Thanks in advance

I don't know how Snapfish works. I use photo bucket. I click on image, and the word "copied" shows, then I go back tou post, don't do anything but right click and hit "paste"

A link will show where the pic is stored you can click preview and your pick should be there, then hit post.

The big question for a lot of people is going to be which is the easiest one to use that's free and secure since some aren't too computer savvy.

Chris338378, I am not a computer savvy guy, after a bit of trial and error it is fast and easy. I only post pics on the lap top...

Image upload mod for SMF

This mod adds a tool to quickly upload and attach images to posts. Images are uploaded to our website, so there is no need to worry about disk space or web server configuration. When an image is uploaded using this mod's button, bbcodes for a thumbnail and a link to the original image are automatically generated and inserted into the post.

here is what we have been working on because of the terms of service from imgur. postimage does allow 3rd party linking and they make mods for the different forums to use, so they are the best choice.

Hey Drew - I got a reply from IMGUR and we CAN continue to use it as we have been so no we at least have two better options than Photobucket. Thanks for getting an admin tracked down and adding that PI functionality to this site!!!!!!

thanks for getting that figured out.
what they post for TOS and what they say are two different things. it should help split the load so image post isn't getting all of the 100 million photobucket users eating their bandwidth.

yeah that mod is great for all of us for sure! i am happy to have found it digging into these new sites we've been checking out.

i'm glad Scott was willing to do that for all of us!! he seems really happy to have it in place too.

Well I have to ask the inevitable. Does this site allow or use Flickr photo hosting? I tried to change my avatar previously hosted by photobucket, no longer shown. Are there any easy steps or do I have to go to another hosting site. Thanks.

You can host your images anywhere you choose Fisherman 1.

It’s a conversation and some direction on using “PostImage” as a new host.
It’s free, very easy to use and this site has incorporated its functionality as well ( notice the blue words “ add image to post” below the box where we are typing in comments .

No host site, just attached from my phone. I never been able to figure out how to post pictures but now it's easy.
