I do not have a "I have my own picture box" to check in my profile. I have posted pics on this site before but don't remember this. What am I missing?

This shouldn't be that difficult but for whatever reason it is now! Very frustrating........

go to your picture you want to post.. Right mouse click on image.. Select "Copy image address".. Come back to IceShanty... Right mouse click again, Select "paste".. while link is still highlighted, click on the "insert image" icon located below the "bold" icon ( above smiley icons). Check to see if it worked by clicking "preview".. then post..

FYI......I am guessing my issue was related to Firefox because I got it to work no problem with IE. Just a heads up in case anyone is using Firefox and having trouble.

seems like a pain in the a%s. I guess people will just have to take my word for it on what I catch. Its to bad there is not a way to link your phone directly to your account like fb.

I did a little more digging into the topic of the photo code linking back to the user's entire library. There is a setting in the options to disable that.

Click on settings (hover over your avatar in the upper right corner of the Photobucket page)
Albums
Toward the bottom uncheck "Link back to albums"

From Photobucket:
The Link back to albums option changes the HTML and IMG link codes that your Photobucket account generates. If the option is unchecked, your shared photos do not link back to your Photobucket account when a guest clicks them.
The HTML code for any photo only links back to the photo itself on Photobucket.
The links do not give viewers the ability to browse your private album, regardless of your Link back to albums setting.

You want to click on the 4 think down, the img link. then your picture will appear.

I have had issues with posting pics from photobucket, then the posting procedure changed and you could use your own album from your computer, after figuring out the photobucket thing it was easy, just copy and paste. managing my pics was also easy. Now it's changed back to using photobucket or what ever storage place you want to keep your pics on and I can't copy and paste any more, the only thing that shows in my post are imgIIimg.

Carcajou17, thanks for allowing us readers to not have everyone that view our pics, browse our entire photo library on photobucket. I have never liked having anyone view other than what I had posted. Thanks again.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anybody else is have problems uploading photos on to photobucket recently or is just me?

It seems that every time I get to photobucket I have to log in. I can see my albums OK, but trying to add a new photo does not work.
If I try, it just goes back to the log in page and stays there.

I just went to photobucket and uploaded a pic to see if it was working or not and it uploaded just fine. I didn't think I was signed in cause there wasn't any welcome so and so or so and so's photobucket just an avatar that I've used for different things at the top of the page.

after learning how to use photobucket it's really easy to post pics here on iceshanty. I'm going to go to photobucket now and pick out a pic to post. All I have to do is click on the pic I chose, click img and it will tell me it is copied, come back here and hit paste and the pic is here. easy peasy.
