Nice fish man! Glad you finally go the one! Was at the derby as well. No luck for my party of 3, but had a great time.
Stinks about your stuff. We also lost an auger and chair on the way out. Fortunately, a small group with two sleds followed our tracks back to where we were going to set up and returned both. Can thank those guys enough, I never got their names as it was during the 5:30 scramble. It would have made the 3.5 hour drive home a little less enjoyable.

Great fish and story... I hope that toe comes back around. It reminds of the toes you see on Everest hikers before they turn black and fall off. Yikes

For what it's worth. I doubt you'll ever forget that one.

Awesome fish rite there, and a fantastic story to go with it

. The memory will last a lifetime, hope your toe comes back around quickly so you can get back out there again. Class act putting that predator back under the ice instead of on your wall!!! As for the gear that you and your friend lost that day, well that just plain sucks

. You got to believe in karma, and I sure hope they get what they have coming to them. Keep your eye on Craigslist and other on line sale sites and printed publications for your missing items. I wish you and your friend the best of luck in getting your gear back and hope you are able to salvage the remainder if the season, tight lines!!!

friend of mine found a sled with blue underglow for sale in the area. I will check with him from where and let you know.....maybe a chance. Nice fish.
