What is the ice report for Merritt and the refuge, was going to make a trip this weekend?

Others (Sandbilly, Hankthecrank) said as of yesterday (Wednesday, Jan 28) that the Valentine Refuge is sketchy at best, while Merritt is still holding on.

I don't know if you'll see a report more recent than that - the number of people venturing out is probably dropping for the time being.

Hope these Temps that are dropping hold up was,planning to go up to merit to see John at the trading post February 19-22 long drive to look at ice I can't get on maybe have to bring the long poles I guess last fishing trip for awhile my little girl is coming in april

Stopped by Merritt on the way to a meeting yesterday. Ice has pulled off the bank in most places. One guy was ice fishing fishing near Beeds. He had to walk off the boat ramp to get on. Said there was about a foot of ice. I did not go out to look. We need serious cold and no snow to firm things back up.
