Is It Worth the Effort?!

So I decided to go check out the pond conditions! YIKES!!! I'm not sure the effort is worth it?! What did you get for snow in your area? We got between 32" & 36" in my area! I shoveled a path through the plow pile and out about 10-12' on the ice. There was about an inch of slush, so this fluffy snow is weighing the ice down! With another storm coming Monday, central mass is pretty much screwed! "Have fun, will travel"

I kind of wondered what it would be like out there. Wouldn't be the first time we fished using snow shoes.

I fished right after the 2013 blizzard, similar conditions. It was tough for sure! Gotta have tall waterproof boots for sure!

I'll  keep  fishing  but it will be close to the boat ramps.Not  my first choice  but atleast  ill be out fishing  . Good luck  out there fellas

why dont you use a snow blower to make a path and clear the ice

Get someone with a snowmobile to run tracks to all your fishing spots. Packing down the snow.

No, not worth it.  Go pop holes, flood it and wait a week...or go northwest, into NY where the little bit of powder was blown off.

i am in dutchess county ny walked half mile draging sled and gas auger today there was a foot of snow it is not all blown off it was a rough drag

Making an attempt to do a little jigging tomorrow. Definitely not gonna be moving around as much as normal, gonna use shiners  instead of artificials to hopefully increase my chances of getting a few bites
