I love my Jiffy Pro 4.  Good power consistent easy starting and lots of holes per bottle.  Buy a 1# adapter to refill from a 20# tank and the thing will save you $$$ on fuel.
"Hope" is not a good fishing strategy!

I have yet to cut a hole with it,but I just won a Pro4 Lite at a Derby and I put the oil in it ,attached the propane bottle, and started it,just to familiarize myself with the controls, ect.
It started on pull #4 the first time it was ever started, then started on its first pull  several times after that.
Light compared to my 1970s vintage Eskimo!
Much quieter too!
I started it in our 3season room, and my wife never heard it in the family room !
Take your kids hunting and fishing!

I have a Jiffy Pro 4.  Love it.  It’s a 10” wanted the bigger engine for 10” holes.  It is heavy, but I mount it to my four wheeler, so the only time I lift it is on and off machine.

I have a 2nd gen Pro 4 and love it, starts on 1st or 2nd pull every time.  My buddy uses a Pro 4 Lite and while there is a noticeable power difference between the 2, the Lite is easier to lug around

I just purchased a Jiffy Pro4 Lite (8" - Propane) and it is FANTASTIC! Cranks up on second pull and cuts through ice like a dream. $478 at Cabelas in Dundee, MI. GREAT!

I was in a repair shop the other day getting a replacement part for my buddy heater when we started talking about auger repair.  The guy said he gets more propane augers in for repair than any other auger.  He did say Jiffy is good about getting parts for them but it just sucks to have the down time.

Granted I have no personal experience but figured I would relay the info for what it is worth.
