Where to go to catch lakers in the NEK
« on: Jan 25, 2015, 12:56 PM »
My Dad and I have fished Willoughby and Seymour mainly and the fishing there last year was fairly poor. The only place that we actually caught some fish was on Willoughby and even there we only caught one laker while I was jigging for smelt. Any suggestions on where to go. We were thinking about Echo Lake. Would this be a good choice?  ???

I fished Echo two weeks ago. Myself and my buddy caught our limit (2) each. Fished till 9:30 am. Caspian is always a good choice too.

We fished echo yesterday in our hotspot and it sucked. More folks fishing there then I've seen in a long time, just  a bad day fishing with a lousy south wind.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Anyone hear how the fishing has been on the Averill lakes? I've heard that these lakes are only good fishing in the spring. Is this true?
