What are the ice conditions?

What are the ice conditions with this tropical weather we are having. Trying to plan an outing for tomorrow, depending on wind, weather and ice conditions. :tipup: :icefish:

I do not know about southern Alberta but Red Deer North the ice is great.

20 inches at Badger,  a good 24 at Eagle. Me thinks you should still be good to go.

on sunday 25 there was 18" on magregor, it was above 12degrees and melting fast. top 8 inches were very poor and soft. but the bottom 12" were good and solid black ice. it has been above zero even at night.... with the amount of running water on the surface I would start to be careful and carry ice picks as there could be thin spots developing underneath
until I figure out how to fish for a living, I live to fish!!
