Long time reader, first time poster.
Sorry about the black out but not yet comfortable with my face on the internet  :tipup:
Honestly, my fingers smell like that from fishing!!

Great fish. Windlass trap ( wind jigger) we call them. my friends call them a novelty .I put 1 close to camp where we all can watch it. Catches fish every trip. It's a trip watching it.

She was an 1/8 under 40" and I would guess anywhere from 13-15# as she was pretty fat and girthy but I did not have a scale with me that day. I released a 42" last year but will say that anything over 44" is going on the wall.

39 7/8" and healthy = 15-16 pounds.

One tip for the future, if you catch big pike and you wish to photograph them prior to releasing them, please do not hold them vertically like you did in the photo as it can tear their internal organs, viscera, and dislocate their spine that are not normally supported in that way in water.
