Cherry Lake - Report
« on: Jan 20, 2015, 02:21 PM »
Spent Sunday on Cherry Lake north of Steele.  Set up for spearing in shallow and did some searching for perch.  Spear house was set up in 5 feet of water - with about 3 foot visibility.  Not ideal but we managed 5 northern for the pickling jars.  Moved around for perch but unsuccessful.  Tried just about everything.  Marked fish pretty consistently but couldn't get them to go.  Ice was 26 inches thick.  Lot of work!

For spearing Horsehead lake right next to Cherry has much better visibility.   I did well there and could see bottom in about 7ft.    No Perch in there that I know of.
