Thanks for posting, my friend called me at 5 because he knew I was out there today. I was really hoping it was just a rumor. If dive team getting ready doest sound good. My deepest sympathies go out to the family, no ever thinks a day at the lake will end up this way

Tragic news. Ive never quite understood the reason why people fish the Gorge on such thin ice. All because they want to get the "big one" Prayers to the family and a stern warning to all the rest of the outdoorsmen and women to risk their lives on that place. Be smart people!!!

Wow.... this is terrible news
Prayers are sent to his family. RIP our Hard water Brother...
One of my friends was out there Saturday and he said that the ice was a solid 8" of good hard and solid ice.
This has been a very strange fall and winter...

 Wyo Ice
RIP "LT"   This place just won't be the same...

Very sad...  a painful reminder that this sport can be very dangerous.  Please folks be careful this has been such an odd winter weather wise.

This happened to a guy who knew the lake and had years of experience ice fishing... It could happen to any of us whether you admit it or not.

Always sad to hear this kind of news. The weather this year has done strange things to the ice. Be careful wherever you go.

prayers to his family, he was a very good friend of my dad's, I've heard several stories, and seen many "Nice" fish pictures of him over the years, (mostly from the gorge). Definitely a tragedy,  everyone please be safe out there!

My understanding that Ice Shanty Member, Ic3man was the person who lost their life in this tragedy. It brings it a bit closer to home for me. Be careful out there!
