Fun for the family?
« on: Jan 19, 2015, 07:38 PM »
Want to head out this sunday for a family fishing day.  We live near Lockport and hear that the bite is pretty good, but mostly small fries.  Was hoping to find that sweet spot where the little one (6 & 11 years old) will still have fun catching a few, but where there is a least a chance for a whopper.  Species doesn't really matter, but man, icing a big Walleye or Northern would be great.

Any suggestions?  Was thinking Lockport, CIL road or maybe north of Selkirk on the Red.
It's not about the fish, it's about the stories!

Lockport is great for little kids.  My 8 year old caught 9 and my 4 year old caught 10, they also spent time sliding down the hills etc while there.
