i sat for a couple hours in the unbearable wind trying to keep little pop up in place, i caught 4 keeper yellows in the 8-9 inch range and one white perch that came by with a school but didnt stay for long at all left and never came back. i caught probably 15-20 dinks.

I have been out near there not to Ball but close. I have been getting some nice Perch. Watched a few White perch under hole . Odd they would bump my bait but never bite.

What were you using when they were just bumping it?

I believe that is Mosquito Island.  Ball is south of Burton's.

I looked long and hard toe weekends ago with nothing to show for it. Hopefully they settle into one area. I think last year they were chasing alewives and found themselves in that bay by the 100 thousands.

Thanks for come back everyone. i went up Saturday with the wife.  I caught a few small ones then one 12 incher and was hoping for more, but a my line caught with my wifes and by the time I got it back down. ....  crap.  We did catch many small yellow perch but that was the last decent sized one I got.  I am going to try Lapans bay which close nearby.   Any suggestions? Anyone.  Thanks

If you're looking for whites you need a flasher.  They spend a ton of time suspended rather than on bottom like yellows.

I know that this is off topic and someone mentioned white perch in the bay. I know they aren't biting like they were last year but they are on at the cow banks! Got on the action a little bit myself yesterday during that snowstorm. They are moving around a lot more than they did when the bite was hot there 2 or 3 years ago, but when you can get in the middle of the school you can do some damage!
Black tip up line is hard to see both during the day and the night... Plan accordingly!

IF IT FLIES IT DIES! IF IT RUNS ITS GUNNED!
