Past Friday caught a burbot and 2 smaller pike on Iroquois. Not much on the cameras. Next time will go out deeper maybe that will be more productive.

Anyone venture out to either of the lakes today? Wondering if snow conditions makes it ok to drive on, thinking the last dump of snow may of filled things in?

any good fishing south of the bridge in the bay..the maps show decent depths in the bay. Have never fished this lake, but going to try it this wknd. Any word on the ice thickness...or any flood ice present. Doubt that we'll take the truck on...fish closer to shore...I need the exersise anyway...lol

I've only caught a few small jacks on that side. How did you do out there?

my trip got bumped up a few days not going til 16-19th but would imagine it will be getting pretty sloppy with the temps. the creek at the outlet was flowing 1.5 weeks ago not raging but running out. inlet should be starting soon also if not already.

Was out in front of Pebble Baye near the reef on Firday and it was very slow. We fished there and on North East side of the big Island and only caught 3 small pike and 1 burbot. Ice was in good shape then. Not too much water on top except at the boat launch. Had no problem driving anywhere

got back early Thursday from my trip to big shell. ice conditions was great for driving no snow. fished all over the lake by the creek, pebble bay misty grove and never even caught 1 walleye with 2 of us fishing and putting in some good hours.didn't even mark to many on the flashers.this was our first year in maybe 25 years with no walleye on the ice .marked tons of baitfish to much food in the lake ? caught lots of pike and burb,s. took a trip into Iroquois and pretty much same results did not get into misstawasiss. great trip as allways weather wise.

But yeah kept 6 jack all in all and they were quite full of perch.

Was on Iroquois this morning and was slow .
Drove where ever we wanted on Iroquois.
Took off to grassy lake just south of Iroquois and was sketchy getting on from south.
Jacks caught and released pretty well from 11 in the morning till about four.
Kept two for supper.
If it snows would be dangerous to get in to grassy from south .
Because of open water .
Resting up and hitting to bittern tommorrow.

No problem driving a 2WD around. Fishing was slow. Need a lot of patience to get three 2# walleye.

Think it'll still be alright to drive on big shell? Planning to head up there from saskatoon for Saturday.

Last Saturday there was no water any where from the boat launch at Pelican Cove to either side of the small island. The ice was perfectly dry throughout the whole column. It was totally unlike Blackstrap which already had rotten ice every where 10 days ago. One may still have a chance to drive on this weekend if the shoreline stays dry.

Trucks were still on ice this evening at Pelican Cove. There was some water at the launch.
