Ive heard 4" from several reliable sources....maybe 5-6 tomorrow. but people were definitely fishing today

Whitney Point has a solid 6" on the Pond, I spoke to one of the guys who works for the BC Parks Dept. I'm kind surprised they already bumped the Crappie Derby out two weeks since they had 3 weeks to go and already this much ice on the lake. I guess better safe than sorry.

dont think there should be any issues with ice leaving for a while. temps seem pretty good for at least a week and that should form some real good ice

Dead sea lived up to its name today. On ice at 7:30am (4 of us in flipups), first fish at 10:30am. Short Walleye on a tip-up. Next fish 1pm. Another short Walleye jigged. 15 tipups out between us and no false/missed flags all day. Few missed hits jigging. Flashers blank 99% of the time. We Left at 3pm. Cant wait to go North next weekend.

north end was not very good i hear either with water being murky. might be clear by weekend. and whitney is very discouraging place to fish. but at least it can only get better

Water was very murky at south end also. I could barely see anything with my marcum camera... it was useless. definitely a flasher day.
