40 degrees in S. Windsor at 8am this morning. Back pond has 1" of water over whatever ice is left. A really solid cold snap would freeze things up nicely...but no such luck according to the forecast.

Going to get REALLY COLD !!!! Most parts of the state should have at least some small ponds to fish after next weekend. Or at least i'm hoping.

Still open water at Broad Brook Res in Wallingford Steam rising out of it made it look like sewer plant. I know u cant fish there but I use it as a guide in my area. Went on a smaller pond last nite..had 4-5" at the edges went out about 30 ft and drilled a hole and only had about 2". I said no way and got off there quick. Be safe guys and gals

I can't get a good reading, it's somewhere south of -10. The mercury (or whatever they use now) is smeared on the side of the tube, I think it froze.
