I agree.  I just wear the under armor and a sweathsirt, pair of pants and my snowmobile suit.  It really keeps the heat in.
Bring on the ice!!!!!!!  <br />

I'm leaning towards 3...

Cold gear and Base layers are 2 different products.  Base layers are closer to thermal underwear.  if you go with the 3 base layer, you won't need much more more.

Base layers are not compression fit, and are textured to hold in more heat
cold gear is a compressed fit, no texture, loses a little more heat

info from my bro, who is the clothing manger at the local dicks sporting goods

Thanks Jeeps!  that was really helpful.  I'm going with the Base 2 top and bottom - less clothes, but still warm, can't wait!!!

i went with the 2.0 as well, its better all around use, not only for frigid days on the ice, but great for fall days hunting or under the waders in spring trout fishing, the 1.0 isnt quite enough and the 3.0 is just a little too much

Just recived my new Kenyon thermal top it is caled Outlast just wondering if any one has had any experience with these. It is supposed to have a greater range to keep you comfortable IE to hot or to cold. tomarow will be my first day working out side with them so I will post my findings.
