Several years ago I bought a nils 8" hand auger with the power point.

I then bought a nils 8" power auger on craigs list.

At any rate I was looking at buying a new cutting head and the site I was on listed them differently.  Can anyone tell me what the difference might be?  Are they not interchangeable?

Yes they are the same. The point can be removed with a cutoff wheel. The power point is not needed and can cause problems if damaged

Thanks for that link.  When I did a search for a replacement cutting head I landed on fishusa.  You are to choose a cutting head 8" hand auger or 8" power auger, hence the confusion.
