Where to go next weekend ????

        Most of us have a long upcoming weekend and we hope to get some new gear for Christmas .     We can't count on safe ice in the lower part of the state so please post ice conditions or if you have seen folks out on the ice .   Name the lake or at least city or county so we could all find a destination  .     Good luck to you all !

Sure would like to post some up but the smaller lakes and ponds around here only have marginal ice at best right now, and the forecast is calling for a warm up this week again with rain  , so I would hate to post yeah were getting out on x amount ice on lake Nunya today and have someone drive all that way next week and find unsafe ice and bad mouth me on a bad report,
I would say that most of the small ponds and smaller shallower lakes are locked up around here (Iosco, Alcona county) now but that will change this week. I not trying to be a negative Nancy but its still early and with the funky weather now who knows what will happen for the holidays

we made the 175 miles trek to Houghton this morning. They had a good 5-8 inches depending on where you were. We fished the south side. Slow day for us. 6 pike and a perch was all

come on up to Harrison only 90 some miles north of lansing , get your fish on since you southerns are a week or two away from ice, saw a bunch of people out on budd lake today

Was fighting with the same questions we had it down to houghton lake or lake Mitchell so my boys pulled from a hat and it's off to lake Mitchell next Saturday we hope for good fishing

Anything south of 55 is iffy. Just returned from Mitchell, good ice for now. Sorted through a lot off fish to get 10 keeper gills. Good luck!

might snow up in the NW part of the state, should be lots of snowmobiles and skiers.

Myself and a buddy are headed to South Dakota of an ice adventure. Been wanting to head out there for years. With the cheep gas prices we decided its time.

just seen a shack on the north end of budd lake, man that dude has balls, I'm waiting for some cold weather next week
