Chazy/Champlain bait shops?
« on: Dec 19, 2014, 06:02 PM »
My buddies and I are taking our annual trip and have decided to try Chazy Lake and surrounding area. Just wondering if there are any good bait shops up that way that aren't on the list and where they would be located. Will take any advice for Chazy/ Chateaugay lakes or even Champlain. Gonna try for some perch/lakers/wwolves. Got a spot to get on at Chazy. Any good, safe spots to get on Chat? Thanks for any help. We're wingin' it.

Go to the "Pinned" links at the top of the Page and search in the Bait Shop list there.

Gander Mountain in Plattsburgh sells bait. Both lakes have boat launches that can be used to access the lake. Check the DEC web site for details.

There is martins in chateguay or gander. But gander usually has half dead bait but it still better than no bait

Martin's bait shop in Chateguay is a good family run shop with everything you need. I used to rent a little cabin in back of the bait shop when I fished there.

Thanks. I figured there wasn't much up that way. Do you know their address so I can put it in my GPS? Tried looking them up but couldn't find anything.
