We checked one of our spots and it was nice and stiff on top. Solid 4-5" of black ice under the frozen top layer. My 6th or 7th trip but I got my brother out for the first time, he's recovering from a bad neck injury. My buddy Cody was also with us. We hammered the pike pretty good, caught 15 total. Couple low 30's fish. Lots of 20's. Kept 5 or 6 for a fish fry. Needless to say it was a good day.

Feels great to be back out on the hard water and just out of the house in general. Going to be a great season as long as the weather starts to cooperate!

Nice fishing for sure. WOW!!!! 6 or 7 times already. Incredible. Nothing down this way safe yet. Don't blame you for blurring. Not worth the response. Once people get over a certain number of posts they will understand. If he doesn't believe me look up " The Truth" here on Ice Shanty. Congrats and stay on top. Help push that cold weather south this way please..

Hope you guys get some serious cold here soon. I think I got out on 12/6. I'll be back out tomorrow. Gonna be a colder morning.

You have to be able to catch fish before you can blur em out. Once you get that figured out, just PM me i'll set you right up with the right app!! Until then, enjoy your ice fishing down there. Oh wait....
