Heading over to the Blue Mesa in the morning.
« on: Dec 19, 2014, 12:49 PM »
I will be taking both Ice and Shore fishing poles. I am going lite with just one bag, bait,a bucket and hand auger. Although I will have my Power auger if need be. I also will take my Summer gear just in case. I won't get out to early since I will be dropping off the wife in Delta around 8 am. Hoping the Ice is past the Lake City Bridge by now. Will report back tomorrow night.

Only 3 fish today. When I pulled in this Rainbow a guy came over and told me that was the first fish he saw on the ice all day. I didn't get there until 9:30 they were there at 7 and when I got there 5 guy's were leaving and told me they got there at 5 and only had 1 fish between them. So I was pleased to get 3 fish.

At least you got 3.  Coves on the north side should be forming ice now too.  Next week I'll be headed either there or Harvey.  Thanks for another good report n Good Work!!

Just a trace in the coves. But on a better note. Crawford is forming pretty good now. I couldn't hardly believe it when I saw how much was on the right side of the Visitors center. Not ready but should be in a about 3 weeks if the cold holds.

I was just out there friday night, it's lost a ton of ice in the last two weeks. Water is rising 1' a week, and it's barely been getting in to the 20's at night.

LOL, sometimes I think people are talking to me,or is that typing to me and answer to what I last spoke about. I thought they closed the Harvey Gap. Wasn't it on the list? If so why is there still info for it?

No big deal I do that all the time.  I looked just now and they are saying ice around the edges.  Harvey is still open as far as I know.

When did he pass by? Because as of friday night the area in front of the ramp was completely open...
