Lazer Hand or Lazer Power blades on Electra auger?
« on: Dec 19, 2014, 09:42 AM »
I have an older Strikemaster Electra Model 208 auger (late 80's/early 90's), that has a 7" Mora drill unit from the factory.

I bought an adapter to convert the blades from Mora to Lazer blades. Both Lazer hand and power blades bolt to the adapter, so which ones would be recommended with the electric auger (I have both blade styles)? The hand shaver style or the power with some serrations?

I believe it spins about 90 rpm at the auger?

You can use either blade. The power auger blades have the serrations on them and they are only there to break up the ice chips. If using serrated blades on a hand auger they will work but might just "grab" a little more. I would use the power auger blades.
