I agree with you Pal but the warm up helps get the snow off the ice so it can make good solid ice.  We know the lakes are ready to make ice we just need the cold temps, please help us out Jack Frost.

Yea what happened to the " colder than average temps for the North East " crap? I'd like to find the guy that  got all our hopes up and smack him with a dead carp upside the head !!!! lol !!! I know it's coming but the suspense is killing me.

It's 25 in Mt. Pocono now and they lowered the guess to 19 for tonight. High of 30 and low of 20 tomorrow. Should be building at least for a couple days. Hopefully the rain and snow won't be crippling.

Hunting not a bad thing, but I sure could use some ice time.  Hope your hunting went well.  I have venison in the freezer but sure could use some perch and bluegills.

first time in 19 yrs I didn't kill a deer in bow or rifle season. passed a small 8pt at 7 yrds and had a primer not fire on a big doe. major bummer. but a good ice season will cure that.

I'm really hoping this upcoming warm front doesn't destroy what little ice we have! I was out on Hills Creek today checking the ice and it's completely capped with around 1 1/2-2 inches of black ice with around 3 1/2 inches of white ice! It was a glimmer of hope for a minute until I remembered what they are calling for this week. Common Santa, I haven't given up on you yet! :icefish:
