Sith Lake south of Rushville

Headed to Smith Lake tomorrow. Anybody been by there? If so how thick is the ice?

Have not been down in a while, but you might need a boat if your going to fish it unfortunately.

Last report I had was about 3/4 open water. That was before we had another 5 days of 60 deg weather. I would give it till bout Christmas.

I was at smith checking it out this morning in several places. The old ice that refroze was around 3-4 inches thick and pretty solid with a few spots here and there to watch. The new clear ice was right at 4". Not much snow on ice so it should add ice.  Should be better by Saturday. Just be careful and you should be OK. I'll be there Saturday for sure.
