I bought one a few weeks ago and it has a seat in it .so they must have changed ,so you could probably order one.a boat seat might be cheaper.i also use the clam chair with the cooler under it in a old scout that had the bench in it.its nice to be able to take it out of the shelter and use it when your hopping around.

Take the whole seat and mounting system out and use a cheapo aluminum folding lawn chair.  Did that 2 years ago and am well satisfied.

I have a Kenai my back got tired with no back to the benah.
I had a Trekker seat that retrofitTed into the calm brackets.
Used a locking pin to make it removabe. But the swivel
seat is a better idea may need a sheet metal plate to span the legs.

I had seats like that in my last two clams.  On another site I found someone who said to remove the seat from the rails and then make cut through the plastic that goes over the rails at the bottom so you ended up with a seat that could be snapped on and off when you wanted.  I think I made a cut about 1/3rd of the diameter of the rails to start.  If I remember correctly I needed to keep filing the cut till I was able to snap the seat on and off.   It ended up working great but in the end I removed both the rails and the seat and went to the lawn chair to reduce weight.
