Good Busy Couple Hours
« on: Dec 16, 2014, 02:25 PM »
Got there about 6:30. Good bite til 8:30 then they shut right off caught one more @ just before 10 on my way off the ice.

Kept these guys. Released about that many more plus a few dinks. Missed a couple and lost two in the hole.

Forgot my map to the next pond I was gonna try so went to another pond but couldn’t get on. Looks like this weekend will be an all-new-water trip! Looking forward to it! May even give one of the PROBABLY NOT list a try. Ice looked OK there :cookoo: :icefish:

Ice is not looking great, especially on anything larger with more warm coming.  :'(

Glad you found a few of those crafty devils.  That raining coming isn't going to help the ice any. :'(

Only my second time out! Looking forward to trying these new ponds I found! THAT IS taking a break, the way I look at it! Other than that, cutting firewood, clamming, doing the farm chores (40 plus sheep and goats), finishing paper work on my aquaculture leases, working on gear  and working on our local 7 town shellfish ordinance and 70+ diggers to at least keep calm  keeps me busy ;D.

I love winter and good ice  :icefish:

Just sharpened the auger, wanted to try it out. I think I need to give it a little more work before we get any ice. The spud  would have been more than sufficient today and probably for anything fishable for the next couple weeks - at least.

I love my 10”! Next year the Nils 10” is at the top of the list!  ;D

I put like 10 new holes in.

Looked like somebody fished the day before. Maybe two guys and then someone, with bigger feet, a couple days before that.

For my part, I wish I never showed it to anyone nearby.  :-\ I think I;ve learned my lesson. Probably won’t fish it more than once or twice more this year. Maybe once at night will be it. :(

BRING ON THE BIG WATER ICE!  :icefish:

HAHAHA! I don’t know exactly why, playing bigger fish on that rig cracks me up :roflmao: I guess it’s the way the rod is bent like 20 after 6 and the way every move the fish makes shows up on the rod. It’s just like a noodle rod on steelheads :icefish:

How would you call these: ;D  ;) 10#?  :woot: The crappie was 15. The bass are still swimming. :icefish:

How far north did you have to go to find that much ice? I delivered oil up to Green Lake yesterday and it looked like early trolling season. What ice I've seen through Blacks Woods a squirrel wouldn't dare run across.

I've got the itch... No, not that one. It's the good kind.
