South Park. 12/12

Slow was the word. I blame that on clear ice, no snow cover, and coming off a full moon. Oh yeah no wind either-

3F when we got there.

Got 2 bows. 1-19" and 1-18" lost 2 same size. Coffee joe missed 1 same size.We had a total of 15 hits or so. We fished Suckers. More guys at Cross creek , 1 dude said he got 11, but we were next to them all day and only saw them land 1. Funny how that works.

Some dudes were hootin and hollerin at Cross Creek, you could hear everything they said or did. from a 1/2 mile away.

We started out to right of suckers but not much action and later on a big area opened up.

I was feeding peanut butter crackers to the crows. They would get to about 10ft.

Then I threw some guts on the ice and the bald eagles came muscling in quickly.

Still trying to load the vid of the dive-bombing eagles.

Their was a post about long poles a while ago and I think it got mixed responces. I just read that long poles are good for clear ice they keep you away from the hole and so you spook the fish less. I have not tried it but it might not be a bad idea to leave a long pole in the truck in case you find clear ice and spooky fish when you get to the lake.

I got most all my hits/fish on a deadstick about 75 ft away--- ;)
