At times like this i wish i disnt have a pop up. Much to hard to setup in anything over 25-30km/h by myself. Sounds like its going to be a good time out there tomorrow with the whole gang showing up. I still cant believe ive never met megaram on lobo as much as we both go there every year. Hope to see all you guys out there tomorrow. I will probably be the only one in orange suit sitting on a blue cooler. Stop by and say hi

Good bite this morning, me and my buddy landed 6 fish in just over 2 hours. All in the 3-5 pound range. Caught everything around 90 FOW.

Nice fishing out there boys!!!!! JZ and myself went to Quinte but couldn't get where I wanted to. Managed a couple perch and a 6" walleye for our efforts. May be back on home lake in the a.M. Pending winds

Nice fish Sfraser88, now thats a prime sample of some of Lobos awesome laker fishing.
Even a fish wouldn't get into trouble if it kept it's mouth shut!

Hey fellas, nice fish!  Just want to introduce myself, I'll be coming up to Lobo this Saturday with the wife (trying to introduce her to the wonderful world of fishing!), my first time there! Just wondering is there's enough ice for an ATV?

Hope to see some of you there!

Hey Guys,

Was out at Loughborough today for a few hours. Nothing. Seems to be the luck everyone is having. I ordered a flasher but it has not come in yet so I was fishing blind.

Hope it picks up!

Once you have your flasher, if you're marking fish but they won't chase, or chase and not bite, then change your jig.  Try and bounce it on the bottom a few times and then slowly raise it a few feet so you can see if fish are checking it out.  Then raise it a little more until you get one to chase it.  If they're picky, you can play this game for a long time before one inhales your jig but it's worth it.

Just an update out there. Fished yesterday, iced one and missed one. I didn't get out till 9:15 but by 11:00 there wasn't a fish to be marked. They were all over the place when I got out there.

Good to hear you landed one. I am going to be out again this weekend. Is this lake normally a morning bite? I figure I will have to work the day to ice a fish or two so that is the plan.

Personally I've had better results in the morning. Up until my last trip out, the action for me was around 10:00-11:00 but it seems to have gotten a little earlier. When this weather settles I will be out again, trying after first light. Will post results.

Ok, I'm sure someone nuts is looking for an update to get out there. So here it is..from another "NUT" just got in from my morning outing after a couple days of nasty weather. It's not for the out of shape people I tell Ya!!! Average is about a foot of snow with drifts to 2 1/2 ft that you can't see till your crawling or laying in them!! Some spots are about 6" which is where I stopped for a breather..except for the one drift I laid in.lol. Found one in my regular area where I set up. Well only marked a couple, had two chase, and another which came out of nowhere and hammered my bait. Finally!!! Hook set, zing.. Gone!! Apparently must have backed off drag while changing baits. Packed it in after 5 1/2hrs. Wouldn't have been that long but I dreaded the walk back. Snow is still building as I write, so needless to say.. Unless my neighbour down the road decides to go out and plow some routes on the lake, I'm done for a bit!!

Hi guy's, my wife and I are planning to hit Lobo tomorrow morning. This will be our 2nd time there (once last year). We are about an hour and a half away and I was wondering if it is worth it to trailer our quad or is there to much snow?

Sorry for the late reply.if you haven't already left, unless you have chains on tires, I would not recommend it. There's usually nobody out there thru the week that would be able to pull you out although you probably wouldn't get too far before you realized it. Sleds are running slow.

^^^ Thanks for the reply... we did up loading the Honda and headed out early, it was a pretty crappy drive coming from Frankford. Unloaded the quad and headed out, man it was a tough ride, no chains  ::) ... We set up in 119 FOW and had no lookers till around 11:00.. Marked a few but they would not commit. Finally, I got one to chase around 11:30am and landed my first Lobo laker. We had a few chasers after that but then it died off around 1:00pm so we packed it in and headed back , it was tougher getting back than getting in. I had to make 2 trips as well as my buddy came with us. Overall we had a great day out there and will be back.

Cheers,
Randy
