I have been fishing rollaway bay so far this season but would like to try out milearm bay. Never been to it and was wondering the best way to get there at this time. I seen on earlier posts that it's private all the way around it. I've also asked some guys and they say just park where everyone else does. I don't have an issue parking on the side of the road but if I have to cut through someone's property then it's not worth a trespassing ticket. Is it worth the walk from rollaway or is there a better and possibly safer way.

Don't walk from Rollaway - besides not worth it, you may not make it, unless you know the area pretty well.  Later in the season, folks will be running wheelers and sleds up through there.  It would be better than a 4 mile walk from Rollaway.  The danger is the current and the pressure ridge(s) through the area of the lake that is "narrow".

Appreciate the info. I figured walking was gonna be out especially for the early season. Maybe I'll have the opportunity to gety quad out and head down there. Does anyone know of good ice at milearm.

Nice walleye.  I have tried hard the past two seasons to get one with no luck.  Hopefully third year will be the charm.

Stop trying and you'll get one. That's the way it usually works.
It'll eat.

Good advice as usual Phil, helps to have a good source for safety tips on lakes we aren't familiar on. :)

Fished this weekend. Couldn't find any nice sized fish Saturday or Sunday, but today I found some nice eater size crappies and gills after about 200 holes. Had a nice northern break off at the hole too. He decided to jump all over my hexi-fly... He took it with him  :%$#!: Anyway, here is some pics.

Nice job on the craps and gillls.  Stay after therm.  I heard some other reports that the fish were more aggressive Monday.

Wow. Sounds like my Saturday. I sat on the same spot for 9 hours. Probably got 50 dink crappie, only 4 keepers. Some little gills and perch too. Biggest fish of the day was an 11" Perch.

I definitely should have moved but the first 4 hours it was just nice to be setting the hook again. If the ice holds this week I'll be hole hopping next weekend.
