Woodford lake?
« on: Dec 10, 2014, 08:08 AM »
So I live in CT and we don't have ice yet. If we don't have ice come New Years I was planning on going up to Vermont since my GF has a lake on Woodford lake. It's by Bennington. I was wondering if that's good to ice fish at all or should I try somewhere else that's close by?

I can't find a woodford lake.  Are you sure that's the name of it?

Never heard much of anyone fishing there, tough access and usually a ton of snow on top.  Woodford usually has the most snow of anywhere in Southern Vermont.  I would try Harriman Reservoir in Wilmington, you are only about 20 minutes from it.  Harriman has a little bit of everything in it.
