how loud???

Im looking at propane augers specifically the jiffy pro 4 lite because I like the idea of not having gas. But Im just wondering from people that already own one how loud are they?
are they as loud as a 2 stroke? can you still have a conversation while running one? just trying to get an idea thank you

I'm pretty sure they are not nearly as loud as a 2 stoke.

On the other hand ~ why not keep yer yap closed and focus on the chore at hand, just as a matter of safety.

I have a pro 4 not the lite model and it is not as loud as a 2 stroker

I wasn't asking like I really wanted to have a conversation, I was using that as a way to try and tell how loud it would be. Most of the time I fish by myself so I would look pretty funny out there try to have a conversation anyway

Not even close to as loud as my eskimo. About the same as a solo strikemaster... maybe a lil more quiet.

A quiet auger is great when your punching holes and a buddy is checking them.  Nice to be able to hear them say the depth or when they mark fish.

The Pro 4 I've been around is really quiet, quiet enough that you can hear the ice cutting over the noise of the engine.
The solos I've been around are about as loud as they come, only thing louder are the old Jiffy Model 30's.  The solos really scream.

sold my jiffy 2 stroke this year , and bought a pro4 lite , havent had it on the ice yet this year but ran it in garage a few times  and it is super quiet .
i fished with a buddy last year that bought a pro 4 and i was really impressed except for the weight , thats why i invested in the lite ..
