Looking for some info on where to go around Soldotna area any one know if Jerome lake has safe ice

If you mean the one by the Seward/Cooper landing split, then yes, the ice is about 8-9" as of last week. Drilled plenty of holes but never had a bite or even saw a fish on the vexilar. Good luck

Thnx I heard it was a good place to try was told to fish real shallow might try some place else

I've seen some nice trout in Jerome but never fished it in winter. I would say the outlet end would be better fishing. There is some good structure and ledges on the mountainside of the lake.
