Has anyone walked on the red river inside the city? If so how thick and do u think it's now safe since these last couple of days have been been very cold.

Never ever trust the red inside the city, unless you are absolutely sure you know where the warm water discharges are. They test the ice for the river walk, and there are places with no discharges that are safe, but it's far more safer Lockport north.

Many people have fallen thru in the middle of winter in the city, seems to happen almost ever year.    Current areas from bends in the river, warm water outlets, salt water run off from ditches/storm sewers eating away the ice.   :-X :-X :-X
