Hey Driller sounds like you had a slow day out there. I have family at Midale and hope to get down for some ice fishing later this winter. We have had good luck for walleye in the past, but I havent ice fished there for a couple of years. There used to be some good jumbo perch fishing not far from Mainprize.

I was catching 14" or better jumbos all last winter. Can't wait to get the shack out , trying to locate a trailer as the shacks on skids

Just curious, is Dead lake is a branch of Rafferty or is it it's own lake? :-\

Why do they call it Dead Lake?

i think dead lake is north of the macoun approach. If i remember right there is an arm that branches off and dead ends. It"s likely similar to mcdonald lake by the sat dish. there used to be a lake there before it was flooded.

I punched a hole just off the hitchcock approach today on my lunch break. I didn't have a tape measure with me but I would have called it 8 to 10 inches. I'm not ready to drive out there yet but I'm going to walk out this weekend.

This will be my third season with the ice35. It's a great flasher for a good price.
