walleye rod
« on: Nov 23, 2014, 05:37 PM »
I know its asked a lot, looking for a walleye rod. Been leaning towards Thorn Bros, was on their site so many options. Here is the meat I am fishing 15 fow and less, in and out of the shanty, using chubby darters and most likely a spinning reel, maybe a inline. Most likely 4 to 6 lb line, what should I get? I know walleye sweetheat, but so many options.

6" Tennessee seems to be the most common. Watch their videos, and they go over some of the options. I went with outside REC guides on all my TB's, but there are cheaper options. The REC guides are nice and light. Error on the side of outside, and you'll never get hurt with that choice inside. I went with 32" and had no problems in a Clam Kenai, and currently a Clam Yukon TC.
