Anyone want to venture out on the ice Wed or Thurs ?

The waiting is too much. I need to get on the frozen H2o. Anyone want to hit a lake that has enough ice to not get us wet. North Park, Red Feather or somewhere else. I'm willing to go almost anywhere. All my stuff is in living room taking shots at me as I walk by....." Let's  get out there chicken" . I think my rods and tackle are planning a rebellion. I'm going to wake with slender spoons hanging from my lobes and jigging raps stuck in my lips.
Someone help me out. Let's go fishin

I just heard today from a guy over here on the Western Slope that someone he knows caught some nice fish there yesterday.

My buddy and I haven't figured it out yet, but it will probably be early.  It's over 3 hours from Longmont, and we like to be on the ice by 8 or so. There will be slow driving over Cameron with the recent snow.

If it's snowy I a lot of times go up to I80 then take snowy range road back south into Walden and can get to fishing faster than dealing with the canyon and the pass when it's icy

The last time I did  the Wyoming route, I took the backroad out of Ft. C and I got a ticket just over the line on the downhill into Tie Siding.  Expensive fishing trip that soured me on the Smokies up there.

You are right.  I know exactly where that sneaky Smokey sat at dawn.  Never again.

Weather tomorrow in Walden is not as good as Friday, so we're hitting a few hours at Red Feather tomorrow just to loosen up the gear a little, and then head for the nice North Park footballs Friday morning.
