A friend of mine had 3 1/2" of ice on his pond Fri. I wanted to get out on Sat. to find some ice but I was unable too. My best friend passed and his funeral was Sat. and then I left for Boston in the PM. Saw lots of ice on the way out but when I got to NY, Con., and Mass. there was hardly no ice at all. Too warm out here. Good luck to all you guys back in IN. I hope to hit ice when I get back home on Dec. 18.

Doesn't surprise me, the wind is just crazy out there right now. Congrats on getting out when you could. I had the opportunity to go Friday night, but stayed home and worked on a few things around the house. Now i'm second guessing that decision.

Don't forget there were 3 guys there and there are 5 crappie in the in the mix, so they were not too far past what would be an allowable catch next year assuming each person caught their 25.

Exactly 25 each is plenty plus there's perch crappie and plenty of other species. Heck smoked bass and musky might be a tasty treat!

Oh yea...it's our favorite snack on the ice. We do not post pics of ski's tho..we club em' on the head, fillet em' out, and throw em' on the smoker before anybody sees us!!

I'm growing a beard and getting me a blue stocking hat. Suspenders I could definetely use anyhow and the waste adjustments will come in very handy for the holiday season! That way it will be expected I'm going Amish on them this year! FEAR THE BEARD!! It's your fault Travis for posting that I'm still laughing. Reminds me of the Amish Mafia series.
