How bout them huskers?
« on: Nov 22, 2014, 06:05 PM »
With the warm weather and not being able to get away from the real world and a mediocre team on the ice, thought I would ask any opinions of the football team? Not looking for pitchforks and fire torches, in fact would like to not see any Bo Pelini hatred. Just basic thoughts on the team and where we go from here…??

Do like I did today. Skip the game and go fishing. 8" north of Mullen. Slow bite but caught quite a few.

I think the coaching staff was OK I like BO but the lack of fundamentals and blown assignments is what hurt us. Jmo
Looking forward to ice more than the next game at this point. Not sure what team will show up next week or even second half next week.

Yep go look for lunkers, leave the huskers  for discussion elsewhere, don't want to mix fun with pain.

Yup.  I'm with Hank.  This is an ice fishing site.  Plenty of that b.s. on Facebook.  Wanna talk husker **** go somewhere else.  Wanna talk ice fishing?  You have the right place for that.

Fishing should be the exercise of your skills- and its rewards the places it brings you to

Didn't think about the game was getting the last of my gear ready to go, and making a list of the few things I need to get out and catch some fish.

I can't wait for next Friday, I will be out fishing.  I live in the Omaha area and will probably be driving a while to get to some but I will be fishing.

Figured there would be a few posts like this. The cool thing about forums is that the relevant threads stay at the top of the page. You want this thread to die then its best to keep your fingers off the keyboard. Didn't mean to upset anyone with a little coffee talk, but not all of us have fishable ice in 50 degree weather. Enjoy the ice if you've got it, and know that I'm jealous of anyone who will be fishing friday rather than watching a debacle.

Good game but my team lost. It was Swedish Pimples  verses the trouts. Going to play that game over again today. At least when I am on the ice I always win.

Don't know about you guys but both my teams got their *** kicked.    With all this rain today, I would assume that the ice took a shot and Saturday enough said.
