Just saw on E-Bay ....  ION 8" battery powered augers for $399.  They are "factory seconds" but completely re-conditioned with a 90 day factory warranty.  Think I'm gonna get me one!!

I bought my brand new one for that last year. Just have to wait for them to go on sale. I bought mine just after christmas.

Nice price. I really hope you don't have any problem with it. Never cared for refurbished anything.
